2nd Annual LITMA Fall Music & Dance Jamboree

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2006

Location: The Old First Church, 125 Main St., Huntington, NY

LITMA presents an afternoon of dance and music workshops followed by a buffet dinner. The evening will end with a combined Contra and English Country Dance. ($12 to attend dance only)

Workshops will start at 1 pm. (Check-in 12:30) Evening dance will run from 7:30 - 10:30 pm.

Fees include afternoon workshops, buffet dinner, evening dance + special dessert. No alcoholic beverages allowed. Vegetarian food will be available. (Evening Dance only is $12)

Parking: Church parking lot, street parking, or behind Huntington Town Hall (across street from church).

Here's a list of some of the exciting and varied afternoon activities being offered (subject to change):

Dance Workshops: Contra Flourishes; ECD Dancing with Style; Scottish Country Dancing; ECD - The Music Tells Me What To Do; the Waltz; Smooth Transitions in Contradancing.

Music Workshops: The Music of O'Carolan - Celtic Harp & Pennywhistle; Old-Time Fiddle; 5-String Banjo Accompaniment Styles; Accompaniment for Contradancing; Fiddle Bowing Techniques.

New this year ... an afternoon Member's Concert; Open room for Jamming.
