DIRECTIONS TO 46 LOCUST LANE, NORTHPORT
FROM THE EAST:
Long Island Expressway to Sagtikos Parkway North (LIE Exit 53)
Get off Sagtikos (which has become Sunken Meadow Parkway) at
last exit (SM5W), Route 25A West, towards Huntington
Go 4.2 miles to Waterside Rd. (Nocellos Restaurant is on right at
this corner)...Make right on to Waterside
Go 1.4 miles to Eaton’s Neck Rd. (This is a left turn
only...Look for “Keyspan” sign on left
Make a left on to Eaton’s Neck Rd. and go one half mile to stop
sign. Go straight after the stop sign (Note that traffic coming from
left has right of way)

FROM THE WEST:
Long Island Expressway to Deer Park Ave. (LIE Exit 51).
Turn left at light to go north on Deer Park Ave.
Go 1.8 miles to Northern Parkway overpass. Get in right lane.
Road bears right (signs above say “County Route 66” and other signs
say “Deer Park Ave. East”)
From parkway overpass, go .9 miles to Route 25 (Jericho
Turnpike). Get in left lane as you come to light at Jericho Tpk.
You are coming on to Jericho Tpk. at an angle, going east. Get
in to far left lane immediately as you enter Jericho Tpk.
From the light at Jericho Tpk. go .3 miles and make next left on
to Elwood Ave. (There is a “Shell” station on this corner)
Go 4 miles to Route 25A. (There is a closed down, fenced gas
station on the far left corner) and a sign straight ahead that says
“Welcome to Northport”)
Go straight through this light at 25A (Road becomes “Reservoir
Ave.) and go .4 miles to Church Avenue. You want to turn left on to
Church Ave. (Church Ave. is curving to the left going downhill).
Go .3 miles down the hill to a light at Main Street.
Go straight through this light (Road becomes Ocean Avenue) and go
1.2 miles to a point where you must turn. Turn left here on to Eaton’s
Neck Road.

From this corner to our road (Locust Lane) is 3.7 miles.
As you go down the hill from this corner, slow down to 30 mph.
The speed limit is strictly enforced. YOU
WILL GET A TICKET!!!
You will drive through Asharoken (at just 30 mph!) and enjoy the
scenic water views. Eventually the road will curve left and start to go
uphill.
Look for a sign on the right that says “Coast Guard Station.”
Take the next left, Locust Lane, which is marked on a vertical white
post.
Our house, number 46 (number on mail box) is .3 miles down on the
right.
